On December 22, 2011, between 00:19 and 00:40 AM UTC, a broken fiber optic cable operated by a third party network provider resulted in several short interruptions in connectivity. This connection, which is redundant by design, was temporarily disconnected while a backup connection took over. After repairs of the primary cable were completed, it was placed back into production mode at 03:30 AM UTC. During this incident, our platform operated normally but users may have noticed they could not connect to our platform from certain locations.
